Woman hurls dog from sixth-floor apartment

So imagine you’re at a pharmacy and you see this cute little dog tied up outside. What do you do? Most of us would assume the dog’s owner is in the pharmacy and think nothing of it. Maybe we would pat its head, scratch its belly, or even give it a hug. I don’t think any sane person would do what this woman did though…

A Mainichi News report:

A 39-year-old woman from Sapporo’s Chuo-ku allegedly took home a 5-year-old bulldog that was tied up on a leash outside a pharmacy in Sapporo on Aug. 28.

Three days later, the dog’s owner visited the 39-year-old woman after receiving a tip she had the dog. The woman then suddenly threw the dog from the veranda of her sixth-floor apartment.

“I took home the dog because I thought it was cute,” the woman was quoted as saying. “I thought I was in an awkward position after the dog’s owner found out what I did. So, I threw it from the condominium.”

Needless to say, the woman has been reported to prosecutors on suspicion of theft and for violating the animal protection law. If you’re wondering how the owner found out where the woman lived, a photo of the “lost” dog was posted on an internet blog. The person living next to the ‘dog-tosser’ was reading the blog and recognized it as her neighbor’s new pet. She then informed the owner of its whereabouts.
